Network Management by Knowledge Distribution using Mobile Agents

چکیده

A telecommunication or computer network today consist of a number of network elements (NEs) manufactured by different vendors. NEs differ significantly since classes if elements are tailored to provide specific services. Interconnecting networks is important for network providers to make them capable of offering the required level of service to their users/customers. The total number of NEs combined with the number of different NE-classes results in great complexity even for average sized networks. On top of this, continuous advancement in NE-technology make frequent reconfiguration of networks necessary. Proper network management is thus vital. My thesis will suggest and examine ways of increasing the dependability an flexibility of network management systems by introducing “artificial-intelligence” (AI) in a distribute manner.
